Online Dating Tips: Do You Make These Mistakes?

Avoid all things negative when it comes to online dating! It can be temping to say “my friends dared me to sign up or I normally would never do this…” when your feeling a bit embarrassed or when your not sure where to start or what to do.

Or if you tried online dating before say anything like “I’ve tried so many other services I hope this will work”. Nobody want to hear about your failures and it will probably make them click away as soon as possible.

When you put these things in your dating profile you send out a signal that you don’t really want to be there and people could read “please don’t contact me as I’m not ready to do this and probably not going to write back”. This is just a waste of your time and time spend by members reading your profile!

With this negative attitude you’re insulting and offending people who do really want to be there and are looking for a partner or a date. So many women write this in their profile and wait for men to contact them and even wonder why they are not getting any replies and after a while they start to complain that online dating doesn’t work for them.

Don’t write a list of what you look for in a man! Most women do have a list and usually a long one but how long will you look for a man who can tick all the boxes when you’re probably never going to find him. Keep your options open, you don’t want to scare off the guys who could have been perfect for you!

Always see if you can give everything you want to write a positive twist, not just in your profile but in emails too. Focus on things you love and leave out things you don’t really like. Nobody likes to be with someone who always has something to complain about. It’s just not an attractive quality in both men and women.
